    Schema validation found non-datatype errors

    Hello,

     I'm trying to populate multiple values into dropdownlist propgrammatically and I get the error: Schema validation found non-datatype errors at the line: Nav_Tag_DropDown_New.InsertAfter(newNode);

    Please help!

    string[] strArrayTagFieldName = strReadTagField.Split(',');foreach (string strTagFieldName in strArrayTagFieldName)

    {

    if (strTagFieldName != "")

    {

    XPathNavigator newNode = null;XPathNavigator Nav_Tag_DropDown_New = Nav_Tag_DropDown;

    newNode = Nav_Tag_DropDown_New.Clone();

    Nav_Tag_DropDown_New.SelectSingleNode(
    "/my:myFields/my:Variable_Step_Section_LS/my:Variable_Step_Layout_LS/my:Preliminary_Tagging_Step_LS/my:Tagging_Criteria_LS/my:Tagging_Criteria_Layout_LS/my:Tag_Criteria_Data_Element_LS/my:Tag_Criteria_Data_Element_Condition_LS/my:Tag_Criteria_Data_Condition_layout_LS/my:Tag_Criteria_Condition_Data_Elements_LS/my:Data_Element_Layout_LS/my:LS_Data_Element", this.NamespaceManager).SetValue(strTagFieldName);

    Nav_Tag_DropDown_New.InsertAfter(newNode);

    newNode =
    null;

    Nav_Tag_DropDown_New.DeleteSelf();

    Nav_Tag_DropDown_New =
    null;

    }

    }

    Re: Schema validation found non-datatype errors

    Well - this error means that when you are inserting the new node after your Nav_Tag_DropDown_New node, you are causing the schema validation to fail - so you need to figure out why. Run in debug, and take a look at the XML for Nav_Tag_DropDown_New and for newNode. I don't see the XPath for Nav_Tag_DropDown anywhere in the posted code, so I'm not sure where in the schema it is. I'm actually also not quite sure what you are trying to accomplish, so a little more detail may help others help you - are you populating a data source that is being used to provide values to a dropdown? Or trying to "select" a number of values in a multi-select list box? Or something else all together?
