Need Help- Auto-populate text based on drop down menu

hello, i've been searching for an answer for days and i can't find a relevant answer. i'd really appreciate any help that anyone can offer. here's what i'm trying to do... i'm creating a proposal template for our salespeople in word 2010. we have 4 different products. each product has corresponding information that must be customized, like the number of said product, brand, location of proposed installation... i've attached an example for our "access control" product. what i would like is to create a product checklist. then for every product that is checked the corresponding information automatically populates for the salesperson to customize. right now they're copying and pasting from several documents depending on what the proposal calls for. i've seen this function before but i'm new to developing forms in word. i would greatly appreciate some help. and if you can make it easy to understand all the better. i am an admitted novice. thanks!

Hi - I'm super sorry - but pretty much everyone hanging out here works with InfoPath forms. I don't really know how you'd do this in a Word form. If you have InfoPath installed, I can help you do it there! :)
