Hi
We having problems getting a 2007 Web Form to republish and are trying to work through what could be causing the issue. Does anyone know if any of following could have caused an issue which prevents the form from republishing?
- Changing a rule
- Changing a data connection that uses a resource file (what we typically do when a data connection to a SP list needs refreshing is delete the resource file, then modify the data connection and create a new resource file)
- Changing a resource file data connection to live data connection (haven't done this becuase the live data connections were really slow, but might go back to to live data connection if republishing the form is going to cuase problems)
We have regularly changed rules and refreshed resource file data connection in the past without any issues. However what is happening at the moment is the publish wizard completes but rather then say the content type has updated it displays manage content type. Therefore when you try and open a new form (or one of the existing forms) it forces you to open it in InfoPath rather then the browser.
Any advise greatly appreciated. This is quite a major issue for us as we quite regularly need to refresh data connections etc. We have about 250 forms of this type in a form library and without the form republishing correctly these items can't be viewed/updated as well as new forms being submitted. I'm hoping this issue is more related to general SharePoint performance but need to eliminate anything we are doing to the form.
Thanks
Chris
