Multiple Instances of PicturePerfect XTP in same Form

    Hi IPDEV,

I have a form that requires multiple Instances of PicturePerfect XTP. In my initial testing I have no trouble implementing the XTP for single use.

when I try to add a second instance ( add PPXTP_1 and create a 2nd webservice data connection for it "Upload_PicturePerfect_1" it returns the error

Required parameter unspecified: xpath. Usage is: SaveToSharePoint /url=SharePoint Library URL [/dsname=Data Source Name] /xpath=XPath to Picture(s) or Attachment(s)[/name=Name for file (extension will be added by qRules)][/overwrite=Overwrite existing file if name is specified (yes | no) -- default is no. Not available if /dsnamews is specified.][/async]=Filler Only - upload asynchronously to prevent blocking user while filling out form (yes | no) -- default is no. Ignored if command is used in browser[/dsnameprog]=If uploading async, data source name for progress node - defaults to Main if not specified.[/xpathprog]=If uploading async, xpath for node to report progress to. Main data source assumed if /dsnameprog not specified.[/dsnamews]=Data Connection Name for Copy web service[/dsurl]=Site URL for Copy web service data connection. Use only if the data connection should have its url changed

The code on the UPLOAD buttons seems ok

    SaveToSharePoint /dsnamews=Upload_PicturePerfect_1 /url=http://myPicturelibraryURL /my:myFields/my:controlFunctionWrapper/my:cntrolFunctions/my:PicturePerfect_1/my:Pictures_1/my:Picture_1

I was a bit unsure of the configuartion of the SOAP web service for the 2nd instance and its a bit tricky to extract that secondary binding from the first instance

I have a Screenshot of this part but insert\edit image control seems not to display it ( only the red X).

So to summarise "Is possible to achieve multiple Instances of PicturePerfect XTP in same Form?"

What are the customisation steps if it is?

    thanks

    Scott

    Hi Scott,

Yes, it should be possible to achieve this.

The error tells us that the command syntax is incorrect.

    ScotD:
    SaveToSharePoint /dsnamews=Upload_PicturePerfect_1 /url=http://myPicturelibraryURL /my:myFields/my:controlFunctionWrapper/my:cntrolFunctions/my:PicturePerfect_1/my:Pictures_1/my:Picture_1

The portion in bold doesn't seem to have a parameter. Should it be /xpath=?

Re: Multiple Instances of PicturePerfect XTP in same Form

    Hi Ernesto,

Sorted out /xpath=? issue, but still getting errors.

Error: The required attributes are missing: 'qRulesFilename' and 'qRulesLink'.

I think the issue is in the settings for the UploadPicturePerfect_1 data connection.

The standard qRules "UploadPicturePerfect" has all of the WSDL parameter items already set.

When a second instance of PicturePerfect (PicturePerfect_1) is added, the web service generates a choice of 3 options.

    GetItem
    CopyIntoItems ( I used this option )
    CopyIntoItemsLocal

These option do not occur, or are not apparent in the prebuilt data connection (UploadPicturePerfect).

The paremeter fields \ settings for CopyIntoItems are blank. Do you have any suggestions for these.

    thanks

    Hi-

The error message indicates that the attachment nodes (in your schema) do not have the necessary attributes ('qRulesFilename' and 'qRulesLink').

The error does not refer to parameters in the data connections.

Could you verify your schema to make sure these attributes exist for every attachment/image you wish to upload? Appendix C of the User Guide has more information.

    Thanks.
