Stop completed forms from receiving further template updates

Hello How can I stop forms which have been previously completed from receiving updates from a new template. For example - If I have old forms filled out using our companies 2012 hourly rates and figures. We now want to enter the rates and figures for the 2013 year - but the old, completed forms keep wanting to update to the latest version of the template when they are opened. I want NEW forms to receive template updates - not OLD completed forms - once a form is filled out and completed, it should never change! Is there some way I can disable completed forms from receiving future updates to the template? Regards, Dean

InfoPath doesn't store old versions of templates.  It has a cache in which it stores the latest version of any template it has retrieved.  So I don't believe there is a way to do quite what you're describing.  I think the two options available to you would be (a) Have your form to store the year it was filled out and design it in such a way that it can account for the year it was filled out. Or (b) Have your forms use templates that are stored in different places for any given year (e.g. different form libraries, different content types, etc.). I would say that (a) is generally the better practice.
