    Hi,

I have excel file with employee information.

    Employee nr; Region; Location; Department

I would like my employees to be able to update their information through an infopath form.

When selecting region, only locations in that region will appear, when selecting location within region, olny departments in that location will appear.

    Excel file is attached.

    Thanks for all help!

    Hi-

I think the first step is to decide where the will reside. InfoPath won't be able to read data from and update data in an Excel file. This data could live in SQL, or in SharePoint.

Once you have the data available somewhere, then you can create an InfoPath form to update the data. InfoPath will allow you to create a form based on a SharePoint list or based on a SQL table, which then allows the user to update that data.

    Hope this helps!
