Infopath 2007 VSTA not opening on button, wants csproj file

    Hi

I'm using Infopath 2007 trying to add some custom code to a button (to trigger a SQL Stored Procedure), but when I click Edit Form Code in the Button Properties window, what I think is supposed to happen is VSTA should open and I can add some C# code to the button. Instead, the form freezes for a second and nothing happens.

This form has been passed around from city to city to workstation etc., so I'm wondering if I've lost some attributes somewhere pointing to the right file. I Saved as Source Files and looked in the manifest.xsf file for some settings I could alter, and I found some references to older versions of the file.

Sometimes I can get the form to ask me to find a .csproj file, and when I browse to a file it doesn't accept it.

Can I fix this in the design interface, or should I be looking in the files?

The files work fine with rules and publishing without the VSTA or any custom code, but I think I need custom code to trigger a stored procedure insertion. Or can I do that with concat() somehow?

    Thanks

    Gabino

The VSTA project, its C# codebehind files etc, are not stored in Infopath Xsn template (or its source files).

You should  have saved and passed with a template the whole VSTA project, the one you csproj file opens.

It is easy to find the VSTA project location if to hover a mouse over a  tab of opened (from from that project (when it was opened from Infopath Designer) in VSTA file

     Thanks Gennady,

I've asked the original form author to provide all the files I might need.
