Hiding Ribbon and create buttons for actions

    Hi all,

I got a requirement, where i need to Hide ribbon on the SharePoint List Forms and need to replace the actions with buttons.

For ex: In displayform ribbon, there will be an action button EDIT. i need to hide this ribbon and create a button which will open the item in Edit mode.

I have tried to customize the Displayform but the button is not diplaying on the view. Any Help?

    Thanks

Never done this myself, but perhaps you can explore SharePoint designer and see if there is a way you can change the page in there.  Sorry couldn't be more help!
