Form is locked and need help in unlocking form

We have an Infopath 2003 form that has been published to a Sharepoint 2010 library.  Users are getting the error message below when trying to edit several of the forms in the library:

"This Form cannot be filled out because you do not have adequate permissions, another user has the form open, or the form is open in another program. Do you want to open a read-only copy of the form?"

Permissions are not the issue as they were able to create the form in the first place and another user does not have the same form open.  The form is not checked out to the user.  If I try to edit the properties of the file, I get the message that the file is locked for exclusive use by the user.

The form does use the solution for the Sequential Form ID and stored procedures for getting a form number.  The form also has a custom task pane that includes a list of links to documents.

I'm not sure where to even start with trying to get this form unlocked and would appreciate any help you could offer.  Thank you!

Re: Form is locked and need help in unlocking form

This issue has been resolved. The exclusive lock would eventually clear.  However, when submitting the form, users were now getting an error that the form could not be submitted and that file is in use by another user or application.  It appeared that the form was being submitted and updated. We had rolled out a new Sharepoint 2010 farm approx. 5 weeks ago  Form template had been published to new library on new Sharepoint 2010 farm. Host headers were being used so that existing user links, shortcuts and internet favorites to the previous Sharepoint farm would still work and user was redirected to new farm/library.  Users of this form were using Internet favorites with a URL to the previous farm name and were being redirected to new farm/library.  Asked one of the users having the issue to browse to the farm instead of using internet shortcut.  User was able to submit form without the error.  Reading the post below prompted me to ask the users how they were navigating to the site.  http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/14470/51433.aspx#51433
