InfoPath web form: How to check a value of user i/p field against the value in SQL table

    Hi,

I have a web based IP 2010 form that has a n ID field which is a textbox. When a user enters an ID in the textbox, I want to first check if that ID is in the SQl table or not. If yes then only fetch the values in some other fields. Else display a custom error message saying the ID doesn't exist. Please let me know how could I achieve this? Thanks.

I believe you will need a web service for this. Try Qdabra's DBXL web service - it has a method called QueryDB. You can add rules to your ID field that queries SQL with that specific ID. A free trial is available here. Contact us if you need further assistance setting it up.
