    Infopath 2010 Dynamic repeating table

    Hi ,

I'd like to describe overall requirement, Have one SP list to get data,  in the SP list we’ve four columns, Region- dropdown ( US Central , US east, US west , US south and others), scope- (with options, major, minior, low, and Others), Cities -  Textbox and DefaultSelect(Check Box)

InfoPath form(Infopath 2010 - Browser Based form- publishing it to SP library),

on the form, I've to display five columns  like US Central , US east, US west , US south and others...Please check attached image for from design.

When user using scope options, major, minior and low, he select deselect options which are default select can't select more cities, user need to change scope for more citites as selected.

I tried using List box and other default options of Infopath but no luck because I'd like to add check box before each city and all cities selection will change based on scope user will select,  and I think it is not possible using Infopath Default funtionality

So planingg for c# code on form, please provide some help like how could i create dynamic repeating table based on SP list,  Please guide me on this

    Thank You so much!!!

    Hi EMSCA and welcome,

Please don't go to C# in the form as it is most likely not required and will create additional maintenance cost for you or your company down-the-road.

Your image didn't come through - not sure why, but I am a bit in the dark on what you are trying to do.

My hunch is that you just need to change the design of your form. Your requirements should be supportable out-of-box in InfoPath without code.

Why not add a text box in a repeating group to your view that is used for Cities if the default is not sufficient? This could be conditionally displayed when they uncheck the default. Easy to do.

Please reply with more details, and attach your XSN if possible, and we will reply with more info.

    Thanks!

Thank you so much for your response!!!  Actaully i tried with Infopath Default functionality,Added list box to display cities based on the scope selection, it's working fine, but i like to add check box before each city and checkbox's selection should control from SP list

As i memtioned earlier post - SP list have four columns, Region- dropdown ( US Central , US east, US west , US south and others), scope- (with options, major, minior, low, and Others), Cities -  Textbox and DefaultSelect(Check Box)

IF Default checkBox is selected in the SP list, on the form also it should display as selected..Actaully how could i add checkbox before each city and how rows of repeating table will automatically increase and decrease based on items in SP list?

Actually I've figure it out the solution,  You're right Patrick , It was solved with Infopath OOB,  using repeating table on infopath form with conditional formating on SP list data , able to achive the solutions. Thanks for your suppport
