Using Infopath 2007 for Sharepoint 2010

We have an infopath form that was developed in Sharepoint 2010. We now need to take the XML infopath file and save it locally to work with it on the local machine. Our customers have Infopath 2007 and get errors on load "The form has requested dara that is not available offline......." and "Offline data is currently unavailable. some fields may be empty". These issues do not occur if we use Infopath 2010. The form template itself is indeed saved in the infopath 2007 format.

I believe on load the form connects to the profileservice. My question here is, will Infopath 2007 work with the profileservice in sharepoint 2010?

    Thanks for your response.

I believe IP 2007 should work with SharePoint 2010 without issues; but users opening the form should be connected, i.e. should have access to the SharePoint site. Perhaps you should change the data connection to the UserProfileService to not automatically retrieve data on form load. Instead, add a form load rule for it with a condition that checks if the form is new or not. For example, the form will only query the profile service if CustomerName is blank.
