    XLS to XML Tool - Problem mapping Network Drive

    I am using the XLS to XML tool to map to a Form Library on a Office 365 Sharepoint Team Site.

    My computer is running a pretty old laptop with Windows XP Media Edition.  When I go to map the network drive, it says there is no network???

    Also, Office 365 does not allow me to save the opened blank form to the C:\ drive Qdabra folder...

    What should I do???

    I finally got past this item through trial and error, but I still cannot get my forms to populate in the sharepoint library.

    For one thing I bought a brand new computer!!!  It is awesome!

    I am familiar with the tool and the process, but I am not familiar with writing the forms directly to the sharepoint library.

    The tool is executing and writing forms to the source directory folder - but not to sharepoint.

    I now have a drive mapped to the site:  I think this is the problem, though...  I don't think it is connecting even though I added the site to trusted sites and set it to logon with the current user name and password...  Is there something about Office365 connections???  I don't know...

    Warrants (\\maggard.sharepoint.com@SSL\DavWWWRoot\connect2court\dispos)

    I changed the template.xml:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <?mso-infoPathSolution name="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:infopath:Warrant:-myXSD-2012-06-28T13-36-07" href="https://maggard.sharepoint.com/connect2court/dispos/Warrants/Forms/template.xsn" solutionVersion="1.0.0.23" productVersion="14.0.0" PIVersion="1.0.0.0" ?>
    <?mso-application progid="InfoPath.Document" versionProgid="InfoPath.Document.3"?>
    <my:myFields xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:my="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/myXSD/2012-06-28T13:36:07" xmlns:xd="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003">
     <my:ControlNo></my:ControlNo>
     <my:SubmitDate></my:SubmitDate>
     <my:CaseNo></my:CaseNo>
     <my:grpDispoLanguage></my:grpDispoLanguage>
     <my:grpCounty>   ETC.....

    I also changed the XLS_to_XML.exe:

    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <configuration>
     <configSections>
      <section name="MappingInfo" type="Utilities.MappingInfoSection, Utilities"/>
      <section name="FileNameParamsInfo" type="System.Configuration.NameValueFileSectionHandler"/>
      <section name="KeyParamsInfo" type="System.Configuration.NameValueFileSectionHandler"/>
     </configSections>
      <appSettings>
        <!-- This is the address of the DbxlDocumentService.asmx in the DBXL instance where documents
        should be submitted, if submitting to DBXL.-->
        <add key="dbxlWebserviceURL" value="http://localhost:8000/QdabraWebService/DbxlDocumentService.asmx"/>
        <!-- If this setting is true, the form will only save forms to the local disk.  Otherwise it
        will try to submit them to DBXL. -->
        <add key="LocalOutputOnly" value="true"/>
        <add key="LocalDirectoryPath" value="z:" />

    Hi Donna,

    The form settings for Save/Save As are determined by the form itself. You'll need to enable Save/Save As and then open the form in the client. Then you'll be able to save down a blank XML.

    If you cannot map the network drive, then try using the tool directly to the ShP location, like this:

    <ns1:OutputDirectoryPath>\\<sharepoint server name>\<form library name></ns1:OutputDirectoryPath>

    Good luck!

     Just to update the community on this: for this scenario, we generated the xml forms locally and then uploaded them to Sharepoint, since Office 365 apparently won't allow a mapped drive.

    Just to confirm... The  Excel to XML Tool is compatible with Office 365? I want to make sure before I purchase.

    In the case of the customer above, the machine did not allow mapping an Office 365 network drive. The workaround was to generate the xml forms locally and then uploaded them to SharePoint.
