Hi,

I am having InfoPath form with code. and hence i am going with administrator approved approach for publishing. Once after publishing to my local machine, i am uploading it using central admin. After uploading, when i go to solutions, i am seeing the name of my InfoPath form solution as "form-phrase1_phrase2.wsp".Where 'form-' is given by OOB and phrase1_phrase2 are given for form name. 

 I have no where found to give desired name for the solution. I want it as the name of the form(.xsn) that i can configure in Info Path form properties/options. Example: "name1.name2.name3.wsp" without any characters trim.

 if any one able to nail this problem, please help me.

have you ever found an solution to this? My Form names get cut off, so I can not really give descriptive names. If I put a Version Info at the end of my form like v1, v2, v3, or maybe put "Beta1", ReleaseCandidate1 or alike, it gets cut off after 16 Characters. I end up with several wsp-names, that all start the same way and end in with a microsoft-given Postfix like -143 ode -706, which seems to be some randomnumber.

I enclosed a screenshot, of what happens. I forgot to show the actual InfoPath Form Properties, which don't seem to matter anyhow. Everything starts with filename, when uploading approved forms.

I believe in your case you want to change both wsp solution name and also the form name. Form name can be easily done from InoPath designer. for WSP solution rename, i didnt get exact solution, but i found a workaround. see bellow.

for wsp name: I used powershell code to export all wsp's to local/physical folder and then used that wsp to deploy my infopath. thats yet, now my solution name shows as desired in Farm Solutions gallary.

for InfoPath name: you have to open the form in design mode. go to File-->Info (which is by default selected) and then on right hand side of screen you will see Form Template Properties button. click it and you will find place to provide your desired template name and other details.
