Hi

I'm trying to display created by field from form library SP 2010 on mu custom IP form 2010. To see who created the form.

I created the SP connection to my form library to get the created by field.

I have created 2 rules which are triggered when form is opened :

1st If the Title ( mandatory field) is blank, then I'm displaying the current user using formula userName() : Works user log on is displayed

 2nd If the Title  is not empty then using the data connection to SP  I'm trying to get the Created By value from list library . Doesn't work nothing is displayed

Again guessing game exercise.

What is "list library"?

 Form library or document library does not contain mandatory title field

And in Sharepoint List Form you just drag-and-drop Created By from Fields pane of Main Data Connection/Source onto design surface of list form template

All work for me

Works the same for library but after creating secondary/receive data connection/source to a sharepoint library

I have described the problem more precisely .

I want to display the created by on custom form stored in form library. I don't  see those field in my main data fields .So I created another connection to this form library to get it and 2 rules to handle scenario when form is opened for first time ,

 When I drag and drop fields from this new data connection nothing is displayed .

 Well, I see a repeating table bound to a data field Created By (secondary/receive data connection) filled from form library without any rules.

Having no ideas why you fail to see them

Are you able to see the values once you drag and drop Display name from pc:Person group ?

 Ok , does it work if you drag and drop only Display name from ps:Person ?

 Is it working if you open the form for the first time ?

Yes, I have redone it few times.

Yes, both in Preview or from browser, from previously XML data forms (according to their amount)
