I am attempting to create another field in the footer of the repeating table that sums up all of the values of the calculated field, but the value remains at zero. I have attached a screenshot of my configuration Thanks, jason Filed under: infopath 2010 08-23-2012 11:16 AM In reply to Jimmy Joined on 07-03-2008 Posts 2,595 Re: Sum of calculated value field in repeating table Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact Hello Jason,Where are you using that formula? If you already have a PreliminaryLineAndGradeTotalHours field, perhaps it would make more sense to just sum that. Is there a reason you're not doing that? Reply Contact I'm using the formula on the PreliminaryLineAndGradeTotalHours field I started with this formula "sum(PreliminaryLineAndGradeTotalHours)", but the value always remained zero, regardless of how many rows I had entered. Reply Contact Are you using it in a rule, or in a default value formula? Reply Contact I just answered my own question The solution was to use the following formula sum(PreliminaryLineAndGradeAmount) * sum(PreliminaryLineAndGradeHoursUnits) 08-23-2012 06:11 PM In reply to jasonwhitestl Joined on 08-04-2011 Posts 62 Re: Sum of calculated value field in repeating table Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact I'm using it in a default value formula Functionally it works, but I think there is room for improvement. It calculates the sum of all of the text boxes, so if there is only an amount on one row, and not amount * hours, the result will be off. 08-24-2012 12:26 AM In reply to Jimmy Joined on 07-03-2008 Posts 2,595 Re: Sum of calculated value field in repeating table Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact So are you saying that some rows have flat amounts, and other rows have per-hour amounts? Do you have the Total Hours column displaying the expected amount in both cases?
