Alright, this one is a little complicated, so I'm going to give a bit of description about what I am trying to do, but it involves using InfoPath 2007 to combine the data from multiple Ink Picture controls into one Ink Picture control.
I already have a form that uses ink pictures in order to record damage done to test objects. The users fill out the form any time there is damage by giving the basic information about the incident (date, time, location, etc), writing up a brief description, and marking where the damage happened on the object using the Ink Picture control. Depending on a drop down selection, one of five Ink Picture Controls is visible, each with a background image that corresponds to the object selected in the drop down. The completed form is then submitted to a SharePoint library. That all works fine.
The problem I have is that the users now want a form for each specific object that shows all the damage that has happened to it to date. So I created a form that had the SharePoint library as a secondary data source, filtered the data on the object's ID number, and listed the damage descriptions with the report numbers in a repeating table, and that works great. But they want one image that shows all the drawings on it, and I can not figure out how to combine the Ink Pictures into one image. There doesn't seem to be any obvious way to manipulate the Ink Picture data so that Day 1's damage to the right side shows up in the same image as Day 3's damage to the left corner, and there is very little information about Ink Picture controls online beyond basic use.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, but unfortunately I can not use code in my InfoPath forms due to a security ruling, so any solutions with added code will not be implemented.
Thank you for your help.
