    Infopath 2007...Error in form's code

I have user that just received a new Windows 7 machine and has MS Office Professional Plus 2007 installed.  He is trying to open a form that was created with Infopath 2003 and is getting the following error message...

Form template: http://xxxxxxxxx/Forms/template.xsnInfoPath cannot open the selected form because of an error in the form's code.

Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\InfoPath\FormCache2\9861C19C.985\8271f70952b6e4b1$f38b499121a1165\Interop_002E_ACTIVEXLib.dll' or one of its dependencies. Access is denied.

I and other users have the same machine, OS, and software installed and have had no issues with opening the exact same form.  I have had the user clear his cache, but that did not resolve the issue.  Has anyone else run across this sort of issue?  I did notice that the user doesn't have any .NET Framework installed on his machine.  I have .NET Framework 4.0 installed.  Is .NET Framework required for opening Infopath forms?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I think .NET Framework might be required since the error suggests that you're dealing with a form that contains custom code.

Have never dealt with 2007 but in order to custom code (write and build) in Infopath 2010, it is necessary to install VSTA (Visual Studio Tools for Applications), which is if to look in Help > About, is no more than VS2005 with .NET 2.0

Re: Infopath 2007...Error in form's code

Just checked in my Windows XP. The .NET 2.0 which is used in VSTA of Infopath code project References (System) is

    •  D:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\System.dll
      i.e. in %windir%\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.xxxxxxx

Well, it is different from Windows 7 but the point is that .NET used  is not in particular user's directory.

If you ask about installed .NET, do you have Infopath installed locally at all, I wonder?

It is impossible to run Filler/client forms (which is obvious you are trying to do from your error) without (every) client machine having Infopath installed locally
