Hi,
I have a requirement to develop a form that could both submit and
retrieve data from SQL server using web services.
In the single form, I tested if I could retrieve data from SQL server
if I provide my NTID as a parameter. IT works fine. However
it didn't populate the drop down list values for that ntid.
In order to retreive data, I have a web service method called GetRequestRecord.
So each of my controls are bound with GetRequestRecord (Secondary) data source in Fields task.
Now If i want to submit data in the same form, I would have another web service method let's say AddRequestRecord (Secondary).
a web service. That would give me a separate data connection like AddRequestRecord (Secondary).
My question/concern is how would I bind the fields from
AddRequestRecord with my controls which are already bound
to GetRequestRecord secondary data source?
I m stalked at this point to proceed my work. Your expert opinion will be very helpful in this matter.
Moreover, some of my fields are dependant cascade filtered
drop down lists getting data from SQL server.
They will have their own respective web service methods.
I tried populating them using Main data source and was able to do that.
But retreival of data might want to use those dropdown controls
as GetRequestRecord data source and would mess up with it.
Could you please let me know what would be the best solution for my problem? Any help is greatly appreciated.
