My user has an InfoPath 2010 form used with a SharePoint custom list. The form allows a document to be attached. (e.g. a docx). As part of the submit actions, the form is mailed to another user in Outlook. In Outlook, when the form is displayed and the link to the document is clicked, the browser (IE8 in this case) is invoked with a URL like:
x-view://e92ea/filename.docx
...and the browser throws an error to the effect:
The webpage cannot be displayed - Most likely cause: Some content or files on this webpage require a program that you don't have installed
Any advice on how to display the attached document from Outlook?
