Submit to Sharepoint List Multiple Sites

I am working with a form in Office 365 that is actually published to the public facing site and the "back office" team site at two completely different URL's but under the same subscription (site collection?).

I tried to set up the form to write a small subset of data from the form launched in the public site to a list in the team site, but I could not get it to work.  I am quite familiar with the submit to SP List process and have no troubles usually...

Maybe this cannot even be done?  Sure would be great for me if it could...  Any suggestions?

    Hi Donna,

I just tried this and could not get it to work. I tried both in the browser and in the client. I know we set up a scenario like this at some point in the last 6 months but it was SharePoint 2010 and not Office 365.

If you'd like us to investigate further (why Office 365 doesn't support this, maybe try to find a workaround, etc.) let us know.

    Thank you.

Re: Submit to Sharepoint List Multiple Sites

I think one of the major drawbacks of the Office 365 offering is that they have this "Public Facing" site that is nothing but brochure ware...  If an Infopath form could be generated in the public site, but save all the collected information to the team site - I think that would be something more folks than just me would love!!!!   The Public Facing site is so limited in functionality that I barely call it Sharepoint - so you can't really do a whole lot with gathered info there.  If you can't get it into the back office team site, well...

The application I am working on will take place in the team site - where principals of the company and their established customers will track forms being submitted to various regional court systems.  They would also like to market a RUSH service on the web so an occasional random user could fill out a form and instantly have their documents submitted to the court.  They would then assign them a user name and password for ongoing business.  I wanted that public form to tie in with the established "back office" system.  Now I don't really know what to do...

So the short answer is YES.  I would like to put this in the suggestion box.  I think it would be a boon to Office 365 in general and another selling point for you guys...

Thanks for checking it out...  Let me know if you guys come up with something.

Sure! We just released qRules v4.2, but I'll add a request to investigate this for the next version.

Again, this is most likely a limitation in Office 365 and there may be nothing that qRules can do, but we'll check.

    Thanks!

You know...  I had a form writing to a sharepoint list in the public site.  I replicated the form in the team site and now I cannot get it to submit to a list at all.

No errors or anything, it just does not work.  Could you look at the form and see if you can tell what the problem is?  I have tried everything I can think of...  I am stumped.

Maybe the form is confused because of some old connection data hanging around in the code or something???

I tried to attach it here, but it is too large.   I will send to your attention at [email protected]

    THANKS!!
