    Help with XML Data Connection

I am working in IP 2007 and SP 2007.  I'm connecting to a view of a list using an XML Data Connection as outlined in the following article:

     http://edgedev.blogspot.com/2008/09/bending-infopath-and-sharepoint-to-your.html

I have 11 different forms that I need to do this with and I implemented this on the first of my 11 forms.  It works perfectly.

I went to set it up on a second form and I cannot get it to work.  After much troubleshooting, I determined that if I remove the People and Groups fields from the view, the connection works just fine.  However, once I add it back in and set it to allow multiple users in the field, it will not pull in the data.

I am using site columns in all my lists and the first list uses different P&G fields than the remaining 10.  So, I checked out the settings of the site columns and determined that at the site level, the P&G fields are all set to only allow one user.  OK, great - so I changed the site columns to allow only one user (and had it cascade that change to all instances of the site column).  Go to the XML and it shows just fine on both libraries (at this point, I'm just viewing the XML in the browser). Then I went to the library that works and checked the column in the library. It is set to allow multiple names.  OK.

Go to my non working library, update my column to allow multiple names, refresh the browser window and get a blank window.  Reset it to allow only one name, refresh browser, it shows.

Ok, so maybe it's my field?  Remove the problem field and I add the site column that works in the 1st list.  First try, just allow one name,  Refresh the browser and works.  Enable multiple names, refresh browser, NOT WORKING,   So it will work in one list but not in the remaining lists.  Is there something I'm not thinking of?  Has anyone run into this before? does anyone have any ideas of how to make this work?

Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Helen
