Using Data connection files with Browser enabled form gives data source access error

I created an infopath form which uses data connections to connect to a list which is under a different site. I converted the data connection and published it with the form in the same site. When i was running the form, it gives the error like It cannot access the data source. Now I'm almost certain this ran before. what i did earlier is, I discarded the check out and approved the data connection file , but now this is not working, the strange part is the data connection file is 0 size. This seems to be a recognized issue using data connection. Can anyone suggest how to resolve this issue? Any help is appreciated.

Zero byte file size doesn't sound good :(  I would just try recreating the data connection file from scratch and reuploading it to your library.  See if that does the trick.
