The answer to this will resolve a need.

Step by Step book - using infopath 2010 - the Contoso reinbursment form - user info part.

I like the drop down control and how it populates based on a field elsewhere (in another group) in the form - yet this field is a text box and the former a drop-down. I like how you select and it fills the other field with the department code also - filtering?.

However, no where can I find how to accomplish this.

How do you create the field values and where do you save them - how do you start to create such a control.

The deptcode field has a value "Code[Department = DepartmentName]" - the Department is in the group Departments which is a repeating table in the DepartmentGroup.

Yet properties of the text box reveal no list?

But know where can I find the create for dumbies step by step for these two fields and controls.

Any guidance or point to where to find - really really appreciated.
