    SubmitToSharePointList erro

Tried using this command.  I used the mapping tool as per the instructions.  The actual command I'm using is:

     concat("SubmitToSharePointList /submit=ShPSubmit /mapping=mapping /id=", IDSource)

    The resulting error is:

    Action: SubmitToSharePointList. Arguments: submit: ShPSubmit
    mapping: mapping
    id: 156

The /id needs to be the XPath to your ID field - relative if you've mapped repeating data, absolute if not. No concat statement needed here - set the value of the command field to:

    SubmitToSharePointList /submit=ShPSubmit /mapping=mapping /id=my:IdField

with the actual relative path to your Id Field replacing the bold text above, or if your mapping is not repeating:

    SubmitToSharePointList /submit=ShPSubmit /mapping=mapping /id=my:myFields/my:WhateverMyActualXpathIsToMyIdField

Could you help me with how the RefreshSharePointListItems command would work? I'm not understanding what /dsname is referring to, and does the /mapping point to the original mapping file? Also, to immediately update the list item would I place this command right after the SubmitToSharePointList command?

     Hi-

The Refresh command is typically used when reopening a form, to make sure that the form has the latest list data. I can't imagine a need to use it right after using the SubmitToSharePointList command but let us know more about your scenario.

The command does need the same /mapping as the mapping file. The dsname is a owssvr data connection from your form to query for any list items that have an id in the field specified for the /id parameter in the command.

Not sure if you have taken a look at this document - perhaps it will help. It has detailed steps (starting page 11) explaining the command.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

    Re: SubmitToSharePointList erro

My form is grabbing information from a list and I am updating those list items without closing the form. I can have the user submit the form and run a workflow, but that takes a bit of time to show the updated list items. I was hoping qRules could update and refresh quicker so the list items would be updated seamlessly. I didn't know about that document and will try it and see how I make out.
