Firstly, this site and forum are brilliant. I’m new to InfoPath and searches repeatedly bring me here. So, a big thank you to all that contribute.
Although I have managed to get various bits working in isolation, I’m struggling overall integrating InfoPath 2003 with various SharePoint 2007 lists. My scenario is as follows:
Set-up infopath Master / Detail forms. The master basically provides a list of workflow items in a SharePoint List.
Add an edit button to the workflow items (in the Master view) that opens a Detail view. The Detail view then allows you to edit the workflow fields and also provides additional linked data from a second list for invoice data.
There needs to be a “New” button on the Master view to create a new workflow item. And a Submit/Save button on the Detail view to save the changes to the two SharePoint lists.
In isolation, I can get most of these bits working (Master/Detail), adding new records, populating the master. But, I am really struggling with posting updates to even one list. The Master/Detail uses Conditional Formatting to hide all but the selected record in the master. I’m not sure, but wonder if this could be a cause of the issue?
I’m using Jscript and have set-up CAML / XML connections for the New and Updates.
Any guidance / reference material / books that people can suggest would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately I’m not able to add any install any apps to the desktop.
