Hello All,
I am currently (read past 3 1/2 weeks now) working on a project for tracking incoming personnel to my company. As it is now I have made my infopath forms (for the 3rd time now and they aren't short but they keep changing what they want this thing to do whenever I seem to finally get the current iteration working), but yes so now I have all my infopath forms and they are set as submitting to a sharepoint library. Each form is assigned its own library in sharepoint and I managed to figure out the whole line up the columns so that when the form is submitted the data lays out from the form the way we want it to etc etc.
My problem as it is now just seems weird to me, I have published my forms to their appropriate libraries, but the problem is now when I go into sharepoint to try and access one of the forms it tells me that it cannot open the form because of domain permission levels and to open it from its published location, but the path it gives me for the published location goes back to my local computer. I had another person set up a form and publish it to a separate library and then upload the .xsn so that people could go there and fill it out and submit it back into the library, I get the same error as saying the permissions are bad and to open from the published location of that persons local mydocs folder. I dont understand why it is saying that if the published location is the sharepoint library, it has to be published there to generate the columns in the library so why is it telling me that it is published in the mydocs folder of whoever initially published it? On top of that now if I go to the .xsn that IS in my documents folder now and just try to do the double click run I get the exact same error.... I can right click design and it opens and then if I run the preview and submit then it will submit to the library correctly, but then I get the cannot be opened because it was generated during preview error.
Sorry if this is all over the place and if it's kind of confusing, I'm no system admin and my total experience with both infopath and sharepoint is the 3 1/2 weeks I've been working on this.
I should also mention, I do not have access to the sharepoint "program" as I've seen on my many google searches, I can create libraries and folders and have admin access to my teams portion of the companies sharepoint website but I cant go into my programs and access sharepoint to use the ribbon tools and etc.
