Hi

I am creating a form which has cascading drop-down fields and an automatically populated field using filters from an external data source (SharePoint list).

On previewing the form the first 2 drop-down boxes, though providing the correct lists, state there are validation errors.

The design checker warns 'the filter expression is on external data and could not be validated. It may not be supported in web browser forms' which I don't know what it means and if this is the stated above.

I would appreciate any help as I've obviously not set something correctly (just when I thought I was getting the hang of cascading) :-)

Hi,

It sounds like you're downloading an entire list and them trying to filter in the form.
