    form validation problems

Sorry for the simple question but here it goes.  I have a series of 5 check boxes on my form.  The user can only select up to three.  I'm not sure how to have a validation error show up if the user selects more than three check boxes.  Hoping someone can point me in the right direction.  Thanks so much in advance.

Here's a quick sample - right click the link in the header, save the file locally, right click and select Design to open in design mode, and then you can preview.

My checkboxes use 0 for false and 1 for true, so I can sum them to see how many are selected.

gotcha. but does this stop the form from being submitted or does it just display the message?  I would really like it to not submit the form is more than three are selected.

It just displays a message - you should be able to use similar logic for validation rules on each of the fields bound to your checkboxes.

In this version, I added data validation to just the first field - so you can see what the expression looks like. You'd need to add it to all your fields.
