    Step 22 SubmitToSharePointList

I am having a problem on the step mentioned in the subject.  I am using IP 2010 and O365.  I have a repeating table with these columns:

id, date, destination, purpose, category, price

I have followed the instructions up to step 22 where I am running into a problem.  When trying to set a fields value (command) from the QdabraRules connection, I am entering the following in the xpath

    SubmitToSharePointList/submit = SPSubmit/mapping = mapping/id = my:ExpenseItems/my:itemID

The error I am receiving is: "The submit connection is called SPSubmit, and the XML file is called mapping locally.  Here is the mapping contents:

    <my:myFields xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.orSubmitToSharePointList/submit" does not point to a valid location path of a field or group.g/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dfs="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/dataFormSolution" xmlns:tns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/" xmlns:s1="http://microsoft.com/wsdl/types/" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:http="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/http/" xmlns:soap12="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap12/" xmlns:mime="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/mime/" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:tm="http://microsoft.com/wsdl/mime/textMatching/" xmlns:ns1="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/" xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" xmlns:my="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/myXSD/2007-11-27T15:29:00" xmlns:xd="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003" xmlns:xdServerInfo="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2009/xslt/ServerInfo" xml:lang="en-us">

Have you seen this before?  I looked throught the forums and couldnt find anything related.

    jerryO:

I've never seen this error - to my knowledge, this is not an error qRules would return. Is this correct?

Your command as pasted here has no spaces:

    SubmitToSharePointList/submit = SPSubmit/mapping = mapping/id = my:ExpenseItems/my:itemID

    Should be:

    SubmitToSharePointList /submit=SPSubmit /mapping=mapping /id=my:ExpenseItems/my:itemID

With a space before each parameter, and no space before or after the "=" sign.

Your /id parameter also appears to be incorrect, given the contents of your mapping. I'd anticipate:

    SubmitToSharePointList /submit=SPSubmit /mapping=mapping /id=my:itemID

When we are mapping repeating data, we need the /id parameter to use the relative path to the id field. Will your final form be used in the browser or in InfoPath filler? So you know, we have had some issues with qRules in browser forms in Office 365, all of which we are addressing in version 4.1, which is on track to be released next week.

    Re: Step 22 SubmitToSharePointList

    Sorry for the incorrect info.

When I enter the formula below(not in XPath) and choose the itemID using the insert field button, I get itemID. When I click the Edit XPath check box to look at the fomula as Xpath , it changes the formula to the xpath below with (my:ExpenseItems/my:ItemID)

    The formual is = SubmitToSharePointList /submit=ShPListSubmit /mapping=mapping /id=item

When I click the XPath check kbocx in the formula window the Xpath = SubmitToSharePointList /submit=SPSubmit /mapping=mapping /id=my:ExpenseItems/my:itemID

The error is ="SubmitToSharePointList/submit" does not point to a valid location path of a field or group.

Here is the xpath formula with the error messageafter changing the id= to your suggestion:

The infopath client puts the spaces in the xpath. If I enter the correctly formatted formula in the formula pain, then click the xpath option to view it in XPath, the spaces are added to the formula automatically.

Sorry for not posting, I have entered the path in the Value of the rule instead of the Formula and it is working correctly now.  I posted in hopes to help someone else who may have made the same error.  Thanks for the reply.  Do you have a date for the new version?  I am interested in purchasing, will there be any change in the price of the new q-Rules version as compared to current price?

    Thanks for updating!

We should have 4.1 out on the 15th of this month - that's the plan at least. I'm not sure on pricing - here's a link to our contact form, I'd use that and someone who knows the answer should get back to you in a timely manner.
