Hi,

How to set focus on the controls inside the Repeating table?

When a new line is added in the repeating table, the cursor remains on "insert item". How to move the cursor to the first control inside the repeating table.

The tabbing in the repeating table should flow naturally out of the box.  So it should go from control to control in a single line, then to the insert item, then hit enter, then focus is on the first control of the new row.

Are you seeing this behaviour on the client or browser?  What version of InfoPath are you running?

I am using a Publishing  web site. Using SharePoint 2010 and InfoPath 2010. I am seeing this issue in IE 7, IE 8, Mozilla.

Tabbing is moving to the address bar rather than inside each of the control. The repeating table is inside a section. I have a picture button control 2 textbox. clicking on picture button, page refresh happens, and then on click of tab, the focus is on the address bar. I would like to put the focus on the second textbox.

There is a chance that the postback from the button is wreaking havoc with your tab order.  You might also have hit a product bug.

My workaround suggestion is to delete the repeating table from your form and reinsert it as well as all of the controls in the repeating table.  Then republish and see if that fixes the issue.
