InfoPath Dev

Hi I'm working on an asp+C# project that absorbs data from an InfoPath form. I have to regularly update resource files based on this data and deploy the resultant template. The need arising is for a way to pragmatically do this i.e. automate the resource file generation and replacement in the .xsn. I have been searching for a way to do this but have come up with nada, sifar ,zilch. Got any ideas on this one? Tariq

An XSN is essentially a CAB file, so what you need is a way to extract the file, modify what you need to, and then put it back together.  That's the first step that you need to look into.

I tried that. I'm getting this error when I open the template in normal or edit mode: "InfoPath cannot create a new, blank form. InfoPath cannot open the form. To fix this problem, contact your system administrator." Details: Form template: C:\Users\Desktop\pragtemp.xsn The file is not a valid XML document. Incorrect document syntax. Line 1, Position 1

It sounds like there's an issue in one of the files in the XSN.  Could you attach an example of one of these XSNs before and after your modification?

Nope. Cant do that. Lemme see if I can make the same thing happen on a dummy form.

Sorry, just have to butt in and giggle at 'pragmatically' making an Infopath template.

And also, don't know why you would want to do this - do you mean from scratch? Or are you trying to unpack the template, modify it a little bit, and then repack it?
