showing text as opposed to foreign key

    Hi

I am pulling a foreign key field from one query. If I join the table that has the actual value ie "name" to the query, then I cannot use that query to submit data because Infopath doesn't like that kind of relationship.

So, how do I display the "value" of the id associated with the foreign key on the Infopath form?

    thanks

Use an expression box (2007) or calculated value (2010). Add a secondary data connection to the table that has the name field. For the formula for the expression box, select the field for the name from the new secondary data connection. You should see a button in that dialog that says Filter Data. The filter would be "id from secondary data source = id in main data source".
