    trying to use QueryDB

I have installed the standalone trial version. I am trying to use the querydb service and am getting the following error. I have used the query builder to generate teh xml. When i go to the infopath form and add another data connection, the error appears after I enter the first sample xml (step 1) from the query builder. The database i am trying to connect with is on the same server as the installed DB's during installation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The SOAP response indicates that an error occurred:

    Error L0003:
    ----------------------
    LicensingQueryDBLicenseExceeded

    Hi,

I'm sorry you've encountered this issue.

Could you please open the DBXL Administration Tool (DAT) and check the Licensing screen?

I'm curious whether you have an expired trial license, or whether the license you have does not include QueryDB.

You can attach a screenshot of the Licensing view via the Options tab when replying.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

When I open the DAT, i don't have a license file loaded. Where would I find that for the trial?

Thanks for the additional information. The trial download we offer on our website comes with a trial license already incorporated into it. I can think of two possibilities:

    1. The installer (MSI) is old, and the trial license has passed its expiration date. If so, you can download a new trial from Qdabra.com.

    2. There was an error during installation and the trial did not install correctly. You can check the Qdabra log in event viewer (eventvwr) to check whether there were any errors during installation. Can you check?

    Thanks!

I found out access was being denied when it was trying to install the DAT. I am now able to get the web service working. Thanks so much for your help!
