Sharepoint 2010 and infopath form updates

    Hi all,

I have noticed that with Sharepoint 2010 an InfoPath form created from an older version of the form template continue to load from the template version which they were created from, while any new form submitted to the library will always use the latest version of the form template.

This means that any changes and improvements I make to the form do not appear in the data that already exists in the library.

Is there any way to override this because there is an important function I want to include and I don't want to have to re-submit the 100+ forms that already exist in the library so that they include the new function.

    Thanks in advance.

Go to File->Advanced Options->Versioning. What do you see selected in the dropdown?

    When I open advanced options/versioning I see:

    Form Template version

    Version number: 1.0.0.290

Update Template:  Automatically update the template (recommended

Update Existing forms: Automatically upgrade existing forms.

    Thanks in advance.

Re: Sharepoint 2010 and infopath form updates

The versioning on my web browser enabled form is set to

    Form Template version
    Version number: 1.0.0.xxxx
Update Template:  Automatically update the template (recommended)
Update Existing forms: Automatically upgrade existing forms.

My existing data in my Sharepoint form library is using the old InfoPath template.  New data uses the updated form.  Did you get a response on how to turn off this functionality?

Am running InfoPath 2010 and Sharepoint 2010.

    Thank you.
