Hi,
I am using InfoPath 2003 SP2 and do not have access to Sharepoint development.
I want to do something fairly straight forward:
1. Build InfoPath form template with a database connection
2. Send a form (or template, whichever) to a person outside the network (e-mail, ftp, website, thumbdrive, whatever)
3. Have the person fill out the form (or create one from the template and fill it out)
4. Deliver it back to the network
5. Have the data submitted to the database
To that end I am using the RegForm tool to create a fully trusted template.
* Create a form template with a database table as the Main connection.
* Save the form template.
* Test form template using “Preview Form”.
* Use RegForm /U urn:MyForm:MyCompany /T Yes C:\infoPath\ShoppingList.xsn
(Returns Building scripts…Completed.)
* Run ShoppingList.js
(Returns “An error occurred while attempting to register the form: The following form template cannot be registered: C:\infoPath\ShoppingListC.xsn Access is denied)
I've tried this on a machine on which I have full admin privalages, I've turned off all indexing services, have re-created several templates always with the same results. Any suggestions for solving the immediate RegForm problem or the overall distributing a form outside a network solution? Thanks in advance!
