Sharepoint workflow - send email with link to form view?

I know you can send links in SharePoint emails to open a form in a browser, that's easy enough.  Is there a way to make it open in a particular view, if your form has multiple views?   I know you can use conditions for form load, but that's not going to work in my case.

Have you tried using user roles or status fields (custom fields with a predetermined amount of values that coincide with the purpose of each of your views)?

    Hello shniggens,

when you open a form in InfoPath, you open the form in the default view - always. Therefore if you want to open the form with a different view you have to change the default view of the form.

In the following support article from Microsoft you will find a way to programmatically change the default view in the 'Loading' event.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/826997

There“s no way to change the default view by rules.

    Regards,

    Karsten

    Thanks for the info.

I've decided to have the form switch views on form load based on the currently logged in user.  This should work for now.
