I've created a form that has a table:

Equipment      Months to Rent    Cost per Month

I have a List that list:

Equipment      Cost Per Month

I have a list in SP that has the Equipment and Cost Per Month listed. I have created a data connection to populate a drop down for equipment. What I want to do is when a piece of equipment is selected I want the cost for that piece of equipment to populate the Cost per month field automatically. Is this possible with a single SP list? I've seen stuff about Cascading drop downs but not quite sure if this applies. I only have one value for each piece of equipment (well possibly the same value over on other pieces equipment but I just want the value of that particular piece).

 I'm using infopath 2007 and SP2007

Just add a rule to your first dropdown that sets the second dropdown based on it. Should be a piece of cake. You should be able to set it using a filter on the ID or something. Hopefully, you specified that in your data connection. I'm assuming you are not browser based. Otherwise, filters don't work so well... but there are other more advanced options ... let us know!
