Publishing a person column to show as a SharePoint list

    Hi,

I have a form where I'm storing the person object, such as from a Person/Group control, and I'd like to publish this as a column so I can view it as a person in a list (showing the full name) but also accessing the same object win a workflow and get the userid from it.

I'd like to use the sharepoint column type "Person or Group", but how would I add that type of column to InfoPath 2010 and publish it to SharePoint like SharePoint does with it's lists.

I may be over simplifying it but under Tools -> Form Options -> Property Promotion you have the ability to promote a data field to a sharepoint list. That promoted property becomes part of the content type when the form is uploaded to central admin and in turn you would then have that content type applied to the sharepoint list. Under list settings, choose advanced settings and then select "Manage Content types" or something similar to that so that you can see that the content type that is your form is present.
