Id should be optional -- but in 2.3, there was a bug where that made it required (fixed in 2.4).

When you get the error using the command that includes the /id parameter, how were you inserting the rows for your table? Were you using the new table in the bottom of your form, so that all the rows were in the first instance of the repeats they are nested in? Can you move your LevelTwo group out so it is no longer nested and adjust the mapping and try that?

    Same error...

I have attached the form so you can see whether I did what you suggested correctly.

I just dragged a copy of the whole table out on the form so I could see how it gets filled out from the other objects.  When you fill in the repeating areas it looks like it fills the actual table as it should.

I feel like I am going backwards on this thing...

Why do I get an error saying that there is no such object???  I just don't get it....

     ERROR:

An unexpected error occurred executing the rule. Action: SubmitToSharePointList Arguments: submit: ShPSubmit mapping: CombinedMapping id: my:id3 Details: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. It is a lousy error message, and I apologize for that. I should have better error handling in the command for this type of issue.

I believe that what is still happening is that while you may have multiple instances of your group, they are not all in the same parent group. I'll make some modifications to your template and mapping in the morning and post it back here for you to try again.

Oh, and can you also attach an XML that fails when you try to submit? Thanks!

It appears to me that you are using the Combined Mapping data connection in your qRules command for the /mapping parameter, but you are still using the LevelTwoMapping for the parameters in your ShPSubmit data connection. Could you walk through the wizard for that ShPSubmit data connection again (the one that uses UpdateListItems) and make sure you are using the same data source for the listName and update parameters in that data connection that you are specifying for the /mapping parameter?

Well, it now writes without error...  HOORAY!!!

It does not collect the info properly anymore, though, because it is not nested as it was...  I don't have time to play with it now, but when I do I will let you know the outcome.

I had looked and looked at all the connections, but never saw that...  THANKS again!!!

You may be able to populate the table you are submitting with data from your "nested" tables using a combination of the Insert command and SetValue. When you start working on it again, if you run into trouble, be sure to start a new thread so it gets noticed... sometimes older threads don't get the attention and love they should.
