    accessing template.xml with vscript

    Hy all,

Is it possible to access template.xml (inside the xsn) with script like a secondary data source ?

Template.xml is visible only when i extract the content of xsn. It is not present in secondary data source list.

I would like to add mandatory nodes with script. These nodes are mandatory in my form, so, they does not exist on load.I know how to access a secondary data source with script, but not to template.

xml which contains all xml nodes of main datasource.

thanks and sorry for my english

You can access the and make changes to the main data source in code by using XDocument.DOM.  Is that all you're talking about?

However, it sounds like you should be able to accomplish what you're describing by using the Default Values dialog ahead of time.  I don't think you should need code to accomplish this.

    Thank you for your reply,

When a node is defined as mandatory, it's not present in main data source xml (logical).

We can append this on execution with contextual or top menus. I want to do the same thing with vbscript.

I would like to append this node using cloneNode function. (in my case, i can't use executeAction function). But where can i find the original node to clone ?

This node is present in template.xml witch contains all nodes. How to access it ?

     Regards
