We have Browser Enabled forms in a custom page with XMLFormView as a control on that page. We then load all of browser enabled forms with that page. Works great. (Infopath 2007)
Recently we decided to add a spell checker to the page. After trying out a few different products (and wishing we had the full MOSS to work with instead of Forms Services 2007), we settled on UltimateSpell. After much trial and error, we did get it working on the page, but when we Submit the page, the old values, unchanged are what is submitted, not the new changed values.
After digging through a lot generated source and figuring it out, we're guessing that even though the value is actually being updated in the IFrame or Input, it still submits the old value because the Infopath code doesn't know it's been changed.
The value is there. If change a misspelled word, then edit the box to add a space or whatever, that saves just fine.
So...is there some update I need to be doing for Infopath to see the new values before Submit even though we can visually see them?
edit - Or maybe there is a way to cause the Infopath form to refresh and get the new values now entered? Something through XMLFormView or the like? Just throwing out ideas here. :)
Thanks for any help you can offer. I did find this page that appears to talk about the issue, but offers suggestions for how fix it based on the MOSS Spellchecker and we don't have that option. (http://geekswithblogs.net/scavanagh/articles/how-to--spell-check-an-infopath-form-displayed-via.aspx)
