    insert time into infopath filename

    I'm in the data connection wizard, and I'm trying to get the file name to come out as HH:MM:SS AM/PM. (1:49:42 PM) Right now my forumla is producing, 24hr format time 13_49_42. This is my formula substring(now(), 12, 8)

    Hi, you can use a rule and set some condition to build your string and set a filename field.

    i e: On field1:you set the default value:now()

    and a rule condition: substring(xdDate:Now(), 12, 2) > 12 (you have to select expression)

    and the rule to set another field: concat(substring(now(); 12; 2) - 12; ":"; substring(now(); 15; 2); " PM")

    and something similar with the condition <12.

    I highly recommend not putting spaces and special characters in your filename like that.  It can be done with substring manipulation, but it is highly recommended not to do it the way you're asking.
