Infopath Form that opens new Email populated / filled with data from Form

    Dear developers!

I check this forum all the time and mostly I can find THE answer or AN answer that gives me the right direction, but with this topic I just can't seem to find exactly what I am looking for, so please help...

    • I have an Infopath form with 3 fields: Melder_Email ; Datum_Melding ; Onderwerp
    • I have created a hyperlink field
      • that displays the value of field: Melder_Email (this field is automatically populated with the Email Adress of the first person that opens the form through GetUserByProfileName-WebService)
      • that has the hyperlink adress as followed: concat("mailto:", ../my:Melder_Email, "[email protected]&subject=", "Notification regarding ", ../my:Onderwerp, "&body=Something changed in your notification created on", ../my:Datum_Melding)
    • From what I have read this hyperlink adress should
      • open a new Email in Outlook with the recipient email adress of the dynamic field Melder_Email
      • with the CC email adress of the static value [email protected]
      • with the subject line of the combination of a static value and a dynamic value: Notification regarding Onderwerp
      • with the body of the combination of a static value and a dynamic value: Something changed in your notification created on Datum_Melding
    • However what the hyperlink does is everything but fill in the dynamic fields Melder_Email ; Onderwerp ; Datum_Melding
    • It is as if Outlook 2007 or Infopath canĀ“t read the fields to use them

Anybody any suggestions because I created the Hyperlink Adress in a test-field so I could get the right X-Path Syntax...

     Thank you in advance!

    Hi M3ngi3 and welcome,

Try using absolute address for your xpaths pointing to your fields. If the fields are in a repeating section, you'lll have to use the current() function to correctly reference from within a row of the table.
