    Resubmit form after error check

I have a form with required fields and a submit button (which copies the form to another folder and then closes). The submit button has two rules:

    1) If anyone of the required fields are left blank, a dialog box pops up alerting ther user to incomplete fields.

    2) If all requited field are not blank, the form is copied to anoither folder and closed.

However, when there are uncompleted required fields ... \when you close out the dialog box and complete the blank fields, the submit button does not work ... how can I get the submit button to work after the error check?

     Thanks

     Mike

Can you explain what you mean when you say that "the submit button does not work"?

    • Is it inactive? (can't click it) If so, then you need to check your conditional formatting.
    • Does it produce an error when you click it? If so, please provide further details on the error text.
    Thanks.

No error message is produced. When you click the submit button the 2nd time, the actual button - visually -- seems to show an action, but the form is not copied to another folder and closed.

It's hard to troubleshoot your rules, but I would suggest looking at the content of the xml at each stage of the process. Perhaps there will be a clue there. You can also add debug steps to your rules to determine at which point the rules/actions are failing.
