    is it possible to use FormState in a separate project?

    I've got this to work when this code is sitting inside the FormCode.cs file.  But it doesn't recognise the word "FormState" when placed in a separate project.  Is it possible to stick member variables in a separate project?  Also, can these variables be "private String" or "private Int32", etc or must it always be "private object"?

    private String CurrentUserName
    {
        get
        {

    return FormState["_currentUserName"];

    }

        set
        {
               FormState[
    "_currentUserName"] = value.ToString().ToLower();
        }
    }
