I have a drop-down list box connected to a SharePoint list with the following columns and items:

Progress_Name is of type Text and Progress_Value is of type Number. I configured my drop-down with Progress_Name as the Display Name and Progress_Value as the Value.
I have a rule that is supposed to select "in progress" in the drop-down but just doesn’t work as expected. I thought it would be as simple as setting a field’s value but apparently not. I tried setting the field's value to 50 but this just displays "50" in the drop-down. I tried setting the drop-down field's value to "in progress" but now it shows 2 "in progress" items in the drop-down list box. What am I missing here?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
