    eliminate the submit alert

    hello

T made my form to submit using a submit buton, and a wizard in wich i wrote the email where i want the form to go.

The problem is that when i click on Submit button, an alert apears saing where the form will be sent, with two buttons(Submit, and Cancel).

This is a great problem for me because my form must go to some persons, in a specific order, and every person must give an ok, and only that person is able to give that ok.

I implemented this ok giving problem the following way.
I have a field "where_the_form_is", wich knowes where the form is :).

When the form is on the computer of person1, the field "where_the_form_is" has the value person1. Only then the radio buton with the OK of person 1 is enabled.

I used submiting with rules, and i made a rulewich says:

    <<if where_the_form_is is person1
    do the following:
    where_the_form_is <- person2.
    submit to person 2
    >>
(this is a rule , not code)

The problem is that if person 1 clicks on "Submit", and on the Submit alert clicks Cancel, the field "where_the_form_is" has now the value
person 2, and the form remains oppened and is not submited to person 2.
becuase the field "where the form is" has the value person2, the ok of person 2 in enabled, wich is a problem since the form is oppened to the person 1.

This is why i need to eliminate the submit alert.
    Or is it ather way?

    Re: eliminate the submit alert

I would propose writing a custom eMail sending method.
Put a button on your form and select Edit Code instead of using rules. Then search this forum for "Email" or something similar. I almost sure you'll find some code you can almost copy and paste into your on_click event.

    Re: eliminate the submit alert

    hi
I used the code to submit, wich is working wright(it sends the form where i want), but gives an error
"onSubmitRequest eventhandler returned a value indicating that the submitfailed".

This is weared because the submit is working, and vecause the event handler has the type void, so it is not suposed to return anything.

But the main problem remains. I still get thawt alert with the buttons "submit" and "cancel", and if i use cancel, the filds are updated like the form was submited, but it is still open to the user that canceld the submit.
