InfoPath Dev

I have created a form in InfoPath that I would like to email to a list of recipients as an attachment. Some of these recipients may have InfoPath installed and some will not. They MAY all have Outlook, but not positive about that either. Can I email the form as an attachment that will open in InfoPath if they have it, and in IE if not?

If you email the xml form it will open with whatever the user's machine is set to open xml files. You'd need to check the file association for each machine.

You can't open an xml attachment in IPFS. In order to do that, the user needs the URL that points to the browser enabled SharePoint library.

So you're saying a PC without InfoPath can't just open an .xml file in Internet Explorer or Firefox? Instead they need to be directed to a Sharepoint site?

IE supports XML and there are options to read the XML in the browser but it's not out-of-the-box. Editing forms requires SharePoint or another third party application.
