Smart path name for excel xml table data source

    Hi,

I use an external Excel xml spreadsheet as a data source for sales order data in my infopath form. However the name of the spreadsheet that is used varies and depends on the sales order in question so if someone is filling the infopath form for sales order 1235 I want the infopath form to automatically choose the excel xml spreadseet c:\my_excel_files\salesorder1235 to grab data from. Can this be done e.g. by using the text box that the sales order is entered into in my infopath form to alter the filepath of the data source?

    Thanks.

    Hi Turnipboy!
Sorry for the weeklong delay in responding! So long as you have the 1235 data somewhere in the form, you can do this with a Full Trust solution and some code. Or, you can save your Excel files to SharePoint and load them from there and you might be able to get around the full trust issue. Anyway, good luck!
